She thought the sea was everything in the world, until her father sank a ship and ran into debt. Eighteen-year-old Su Wan picked up her cloth bag and left Chaoshan Fishing Village. Chengdu is a city with no view of the sea. She kneaded dough in the kitchen of a local noodle shop, saw another version of herself in front of a window on Chunxi Road, and learned to get along with flowers in a small leaky flower shop. Then she met Lin Mo, a weirdo who was covered in thorns and made installation art by picking up dead branches and leaves. Two people who came from other places slowly grew the same kind of roots in the smoke and smoke of a foreign land. And when the photographer carrying a camera pushed open the door of the shop, Su Wan didn't know yet that this person would witness the most important moment in her life and return to the sea with her on a summer night many years later that she had escaped from.
Intention: Escape because I want to have everything before leaving
