The Villains' Beloved

This is a novel world where the protagonist is forever unbeatable. After being crushed over and over, the villains numbered One through Five are completely fed up with losing.

The System tells the villain squad that Xin Yuan can lead them to defeat the protagonist and is the key to turning the tables.

The villains immediately decide to find Xin Yuan, hoping to avenge their past humiliations. But when they arrive, they discover that Xin Yuan isn't a powerful hidden master. Instead, she is...

A little kid who just turned five, and a very hyperactive little rascal at that.

The villains: ...Forget it. We can still save her if we raise her right.

The villains adopt Xin Yuan, planning to raise her into a highly intelligent criminal. The result:

Villain One, cold and naturally wicked: "You don't want to go to school? You want to herd cows instead?" (expression shatters)

Villain Two, impossibly picky and a severe germaphobe: "You stepped in dog poop?! Don't come near me!" (launches into a sprint)

Villain Three, usually levelheaded and exceptionally intelligent: "Say that again. What's 4 plus 8? It's 48?!" (collapses, spitting blood)

Villain Four, short-tempered and petty: "I've been telling you bedtime stories for an hour. Can you go to sleep already? What, you want to hear a story about a domineering CEO running away while pregnant?!" (frantically pinches her philtrum)

Villain Five, so world-weary he seems half-dead: "You got called to school again? Why am I still alive?" (simply closes his eyes)

The villa is a madhouse every day. When the villains get furious, they really do want to assassinate Xin Yuan. But...

When they're hurt, Xin Yuan is the one who applies medicine and blows on their wounds.

When they're sad, Xin Yuan is the one who cheers them up.

And Xin Yuan is the one who remembers everyone's birthday.

As time passes, the villains begin to dread the protagonist's arrival.

They're afraid the protagonist will hurt Xin Yuan, and afraid they won't be able to protect her.

Xin Yuan loves her family very much. Sure, they have terrible tempers, are difficult to deal with, conceited, and arrogant...

But she will protect them.

One day, when the villains go to pick Xin Yuan up, they unexpectedly find her face-to-face with the protagonist. Everyone's heart leaps into their throats.

The next second, Xin Yuan deftly throws the protagonist over her shoulder, then stands beside him with her hands on her hips, laughing out loud.

The villains: (gasping) (uneasy and suspicious) (seems like everything's fine) (cheering loudly) (hugging and crying)
