Stubborn Little Fox x Clingy Big Puppy | Everyday Farming in the Countryside
A young woman arrived in Nanyun Village, rented a little courtyard to live in, then rented a plot of land and set to work growing crops.
She was beautiful, kind, and wonderful in every way. The only problem was that animals adored her.
Her fan club included, but wasn't limited to, Grandpa Zhang's donkey, Auntie Wang's ducks, and Li Mu's dog.
The first time the puppy visited Jiang Yang's courtyard, she deboned a chicken leg and fed it to him.
Before long, the dog's owner showed up, his features stern and rugged. "That's my dog."
But the puppy refused to leave Jiang Yang's side.
When they finally got outside, Li Mu scolded him. "You won't even come when I call. You might as well make her your owner."
The yellow dog came to Jiang Yang's courtyard for the nth time. She held him in her arms and watched the sunset.
Before long, the dog's owner arrived and sat beside her until night fell and the stars came out.
Jiang Yang smiled. "Neither of you is leaving. You might as well make me your owner."
When they finally left, Li Mu patted the dog. "I don't know if he wants to, but I sure do."

Half a year later, Jiang Yang had shaken off her bad mood and gained calluses, two truckloads of cabbage, two bags of chilies, two loads of corn, and one... two dogs.
During the slow season, Jiang Yang returned to Beicheng for a class reunion, where she ran into her first love. He seemed interested in starting things up again. She was about to pull him aside and turn him down when she saw a man who should have been a thousand miles away walking toward them from the end of the corridor.
Li Mu was usually calm and unruffled, but his arm around her waist was gripping tight. Ignoring the first love's startled gaze, he asked softly, "Two dogs aren't enough? Want to bring home another one?"
Jiang Yang's face flushed. After her first love took the hint and left, she glared at Li Mu. "What are you saying?"
Li Mu pulled a little red booklet from his shirt pocket and opened it. In the photo against its red background, they were both smiling brightly.
"The evidence is incontrovertible. No abandoning your pets."
