Snow Slave

[Iron-Blooded Prince] x [Resilient Hu Woman]

If they had been in the palace, Xue Nu would not even have been worthy of serving Xie Qi.

A Hu woman passed from hand to hand among the soldiers was, to the young prince who commanded a mighty army, nothing more than a way to while away his leisure and try something new.

After all, everyone in the Western Territories knew that the Prince of Hexi was determined to find his betrothed, the pearl of the Western Regions, who had gone missing amid the chaos.

The bewitching Hu woman served him for long enough to coax Xie Qi into taking her back to the Central Plains. It could barely be called a romantic affair.

That is, until the seemingly delicate Hu woman rode straight for the enemy camp through a rain of arrows, never once looking back.

When she was captured and brought back, all trace of flirtation had vanished from her eyes. She only sneered at Xie Qi and asked, "You sent your betrothed into the army for others to enjoy. You must be very pleased, Your Highness?"

Later, on the day the Hu woman died, the Prince of Hexi, renowned for his cunning and skill in battle, inexplicably reined in his horse as if to fight, then toppled over at the front of the formation.
