After dying unexpectedly, He Ran becomes the unattainable white moonlight in male-oriented novels in every world: the woman the protagonist longs for but can never have, only to be forcibly taken as a wife by the villain.
World One: Daughter of a Renowned Scholar x Villainous Prince
In an imperial-examination story, He Ran is the daughter of the mentor of the poor-born protagonist. During his difficult youth, she must bring him clothes and medicine. After he falls in love, she is forcibly married by the villainous prince.
When the princes fight for the throne, the villain loses. The protagonist helps a wise ruler ascend the throne and rises to become a powerful official. He Ran dies of illness while being exiled with her husband, becoming the one regret he carries even after attaining success and fame.
He Ran always follows the plot diligently and completes her mission perfectly. After her part in the story ends, her health gradually declines, but she is repeatedly saved by the man who heads to his fief with half the imperial palace's treasures in tow.
"Even though I lost the throne, I can still afford to take care of you."
World Two: Mortal Child Bride x Villainous Demon Lord
In a cultivation story, He Ran is the mortal child bride the arrogant protagonist leaves behind in his village. She cares for his ailing mother, then is captured and killed by a cannon-fodder character the protagonist has offended, becoming his one regret before ascending to immortality.
Later, while she is guarding the protagonist's home, a new neighbor moves in next door and keeps insisting, "He's a cultivator, I'm a mortal. We're perfect for each other."
Then, when the cannon fodder comes looking for her, he kills a Nascent Soul cultivator with a single finger.
World Three: Elementary School Teacher x Wanted Suspect
In a crime-investigation story, He Ran falls in love with and marries a young detective. At the height of their love, she is killed by the suspect he is pursuing, becoming the wife he remembers through a faded photograph.
But before she ever meets the detective, she comes across a murder scene first.
World Four: Favorite Consort x Fallen Emperor
A companion series to the previous book, White Moonlight in Male-Oriented Novels (Quick Transmigration).
This does not break up any couples. The male lead is the same person in every world. The villain is the male lead's negative personality, split into Little White and Little Black.
The previous book featured Little White; this one features Little Black. The heroine makes different choices along the same timeline.
Theme: Live well.
