I like enjoying other people’s pain.
Don’t get the wrong idea. I don’t go out of my way to hurt anyone. I just like being around people who are prone to suffering, and watching them endure it or break down in tears. Like my favorite tough boy, his eyes blood-red with hatred. Like the gentle boy I used to love most, growing gloomier as his friends and family die one after another. Or someone who betrayed me, tormenting himself over the last shred of conscience he has left whenever he sees me suffer.
“Stay with me.”
“You can’t leave.”
“You absolutely must not leave me.”
“Will you always be by my side?”
My favorite thing to do at times like these is shake my head and smile. “It’s too late for that now.”
There’s no use blaming me. You brought this on yourself, didn’t you?
Come on, let’s see. Will this person never recover, or will they carry on as someone completely changed?
You’ve figured out who I really am? Shh, this is our secret. Don’t tell anyone.
After all, I’m always such a nice person.
Warnings: Dark, introverted heroine; first-person narration.
Expected to be a medium-length or short story. I’ll write wherever my dreams take me. I’ll probably update the Culo kid fic next (heavy).
Probably 1vN, with BG and possibly GB (heavy!).
No redemption, no saving anyone. This is a pile of dark sludge from an overworked author, venting her frustration. If it isn’t dark enough, that just means the author’s imagination isn’t vivid enough. If the heroine’s personality changes back and forth, it means the author has met good coworkers.
As always, the dumplings are an excuse to serve the vinegar. I’ll do my best to make the logic hold together.
