Tengutou High School is prestigious on the surface, but in reality...

The principal is greedy, the board chair is ruthless, and half the school board are lackeys while the other half sit on the fence.

They all have their own agendas, holding one another back while sitting comfortably on their high dais.

But one moment of youthful courage leads the all-girls club, Women's First, to fight its way through.

Then the club is disbanded by a single notice.

Club president Hua Siqiao turns around and uses the Gaudon Award as leverage to negotiate with the board chair:

She'll trade the award for the reinstatement of Women's First and the establishment of a dedicated school fund for girls.

And so Women's First rises again from the mire. A group of girls carry their ideals forward,

speaking out and taking action, fighting injustice at school and sheltering others in need.

But smear campaigns, locked-out meeting spaces, and covert sabotage follow one after another.

Rumors are hurled at the club, and restraints pile up.

The club's core members each have their own convictions and choices:

Some hold their ground, some are forced by reality to walk away,

and some lie low in the shadows, waiting for a chance to maneuver, but their hearts are equally committed.

Someone asks, what is Women's First really fighting for?

Hua Siqiao says, “I am one and the same as countless girls, and countless girls are one and the same as me.”

Hua Siqiao also says:

“Girls, once the arrow leaves the bow, there’s no turning back.”
