A transfer student joins Kudo Shinichi's class.
The transfer student's parents are both dead, and they live alone with their uncle.
They have no one and are dirt poor. They only got a spot at the school because Kudo's mother pulled some strings.
Yukiko tells Kudo Shinichi to look after the new student, since they've had a hard time of it.
Because his mother asked him to, even after becoming Conan, he keeps an eye on the transfer student.
He never would have guessed: this transfer student seems to have the Grim Reaper on their heels. They're at every murder scene.
Worried sick, Conan has to stay on high alert and protect the new student.
Danger lurks all around him, too. The Organization's shadow never goes away, and every unsolved case and disaster that can't be traced back to anyone seems to bear its mark.

A stylish waiter, Bourbon, an intelligence operative for the Organization, wears a suspicious smile every day and behaves in an especially dangerous way.
As Conan follows his trail, the transfer student barges into the crime scene where they are.
Conan's eyes widen in alarm. "...Watch out!"
Just as Bourbon points his gun at the transfer student, he suddenly turns with the motion, bends down, and kisses the side of their neck. Smiling, he says, "Didn't we agree you'd wait for me to come get you?"
Conan: "...?"

The manager of the Poirot Cafe, Scotch, suspected to be a former Organization member, is gentle and mild-mannered, but occasionally gives off a dangerous aura that sends shivers down Conan's spine.
There seems to be some secret hidden in the back room, which always has a "Keep Out" sign on the door.
So when the transfer student wanders into the back room of the cafe, Conan rushes over in a panic. "It's dangerous...!"
The door bursts open.
The manager has the transfer student pinned against the cozy headboard, licking the corner of their flushed eye as he sighs softly. "Go home already. Dinner's ready."
Conan: "!!"

Gin, the Dark Organization's top killer, is a notorious assassin feared by countless factions and the most infamous symbol of crime in the underworld.
His cold, unmistakable presence lurks behind nearly every major criminal operation.
At last, Conan spots a trace of Gin and presses the advantage.
He chases him to a bend at the end of an alley. The transfer student is leaning against the wall with their schoolbag on, looking completely harmless.
Conan's heart pounds wildly. He skids to a stop and shouts, "Run!"
But then he sees the top assassin grab the transfer student's hands, run his thumb over their cheek, and chuckle softly. "Having fun, hmm?"
Conan: "..."

Conan can't help starting to wonder what the transfer student is really about.
When the transfer student is walking with Officer Hagiwara, Conan quietly tugs at Hagiwara's coat, trying to warn the righteous officer to stay away from this suspected dangerous criminal.
Instead, he hears the usually gentle, composed officer whisper to the transfer student with a laugh, "Ah, Jiqing-chan, you still like me best, don't you?"
Conan: "..."

Conan, Conan is numb now.
His worldview shattered, he questions his own sanity. "Th-they... aren't... I mean... what...?"
The former Organization member, who was also shrunk by the drug, folds his arms. "Well, that's just Jiqing."
There will always be people who want to cherish him with love, hoping that one day he'll be able to love someone in return.

The protagonist is irresistible to everyone. The four above are the ones with clear romantic interest in him.
The endgame pairing is Gin.
There's one side pairing, with a little involvement from a Bungou Stray Dogs character.
Because the side pairing is Dazai and Akutagawa :)
He starts out as a child, and the events in the blurb happen later.
