Xavier was a thoroughly ordinary guy. He had only ever heard of superheroes.
Then, after getting hit by a truck in the usual way, he opened a passage to another world.
The good news was that he became a genuine rich guy, the kind who could live off a trust fund without lifting a finger.
The bad news was that he had to choose someone to empathize with, taking on half of that person's pain.
Knowing next to nothing about superhero comics, Xavier immediately ruled out Batman, Superman, and a string of other famous heroes who fought hand to hand.
Who should he choose next?
Xavier admitted that he was taking a gamble. He picked someone he, as an ordinary guy, had never heard of:
"Red Hood."
That was reasonable, right? He looked kind, just like Spider-Man.
If he didn't have much of a story, he probably wouldn't get beaten up as often as Spider-Man.
OK, fine, you're the one! 🫵
Then, in the very first second after transmigrating, wait, wait, wait,
System, can I choose again?! I don't want to spawn in Gotham!!!!

Jason Todd, back from hell, had been badly in need of supplies for his arsenal. As luck would have it, some rich guy had suddenly contacted him through the Penguin.
Hah, another evil rich guy from Gotham?
Whatever. He'd finish the job and then pocket every last penny the guy had.
He arrived at the designated location.
In the pitch-black room, a luxurious executive chair faced away from him.
Lightning flashed. The man turned the chair around, revealing a handsome face with blond hair and blue eyes, its features twisted into a sinister expression.
"Jason Todd, I've finally met you."
Jason narrowed his eyes, then put on a false smile. "Yes. What would you like to hire me to do?"
The man gritted his teeth and spat out through them,
"You'd better not get hurt again, you son of a bitch!"
