I Want to See Him

I want to see him.

I've wanted to for nearly twenty years.

Before seeing him, I imagined he might not remember me anymore. I also imagined he might already be married with children, or that he might have grown greasy and potbellied.

The one thing I never expected was that he would still be himself, still appearing before me as the boy he once was.

I wanted to see him, and I did.
