The Wedding

When he was seventeen, Ming Ruixing, the youngest disciple of the Guixu Sword Sect, married his senior brother Qi Changnian.

As for why they married, it was simple: he was growing up day by day and needed someone to protect him. He came from a family of escort agency owners and had trained with weapons since childhood. The men from ordinary families in his small town were no match for him, let alone capable of protecting him. Ming Ruixing also dreamed of the martial world. He had always admired the heroes who could chat and laugh amid flashing blades, and had never considered anyone else.

Now, there was someone who fit the bill.

Qi Changnian was the first direct disciple of the Guixu Sword Sect's leader. He was generous and gentle, young and promising, and certain to take over as sect leader in time. From Ming Ruixing's very first day on the mountain, Qi Changnian had looked after him in every way, from daily chores to martial arts training. As a result, the person Ming Ruixing admired and loved most on the mountain was his senior brother.
