“Boss” Wanted: All the Employees I Hire Are Real Bosses!

Post title: Help! The staff I hired on “BOSS” Direct are all way too weird!

User: A young, handsome, dashing, charming, intelligent, brave, tall, fashionable noodle shop owner and boss

Guys, who gets it? I run a noodle shop. A while ago, I posted a job listing on “BOSS” Direct, honestly laying out the salary and benefits. I just wanted to hire a few normal employees who'd do their jobs.

But the “people” I hired are more outrageous than the last. These days I'm constantly on edge. I'm honestly a little freaked out.

The guy I hired to prep and cut ingredients looks like an ordinary, quiet middle-aged man. He always says he's socially awkward and doesn't like crowds. He seems especially honest. Yesterday, after we closed and everyone had left, I happened to push open the kitchen door and froze. He'd lifted his shirt and stretched out eight arms, all chopping vegetables at once, so fast my eyes couldn't keep up.

Then there's the head chef. He's round and chubby, with a great temper, always smiling. A couple of days ago, two customers said the food was too salty. As soon as they finished speaking, he spat a huge flame out of his mouth, grabbed his wok, and went to argue with them. I had to desperately hold him back.

The most outrageous one is the cashier girl at the front. She said she didn't have a health certificate and was afraid to go into the kitchen, so I kindly told her to just handle the payments. Other cashiers sometimes make mistakes and undercharge customers, but every day a huge pile of money mysteriously appears in her cash drawer.

I asked her where it came from. The girl looked completely innocent and said she hadn't done anything. She'd just been sitting there quietly, and the money appeared by itself.

Now I'm standing in my shop, totally baffled. I only wanted to run a peaceful little business. Who could have guessed the employees I hired on BOSS Direct weren't normal people at all...

Could they be the trending “abnormal creatures” people talk about online?

* The app the male lead uses is a knockoff. “Boss” here doesn't mean an employer hiring online. It refers to the final villain in a stage of an RPG.

* All stories and characters are not from Earth and have absolutely no connection to real-life events.

* Romance included, one-on-one pairing. Imaginative retellings of various tales from Chinese mythology.

Thesis: Passing on culture.
