Shen Jiu is doing incredibly well in the entertainment industry.
The farther he goes on the road to becoming a top-tier star, the more difficult it gets. Just as he was starting to transition to new roles, he landed the most important supporting role of his life.
Who would have thought that the male lead, whose looks and acting skills both outclassed him, would be one of the little lovers from Shen Jiu's old playboy days? By then, Chu Lingyue had just won the Cannes Best Actor award, yet declared on camera that he would challenge the heights reached by Shen Jiu, an idol-style lead.
Five years later, when Shen Jiu sees this former lover again, Chu Lingyue corners him in a bathroom stall.
"Haven't seen you in years, Teacher Shen. How did you get so weak?" Chu Lingyue leans close to his ear. "You've been living so wildly, you must have kidney problems."
Shen Jiu's face darkens. He is just about to curse when Chu Lingyue shuts him up the next second.
Shen Jiu initially thinks Chu Lingyue still cannot forget him and wants to rekindle their old flame.
But on his path to getting revenge on a scumbag, Chu Lingyue turns into another scumbag himself. In the end, he realizes he has fallen hopelessly in love with Shen Jiu again. Furious with himself, he slaps his own face, then calmly sets off on the path to winning his lover back.
