The Village Crybaby Makes a Comeback as a Princess

[A teary-eyed, adorable girl who needs looking after] VS [A boyish-looking man pretending to live off a woman]

Li Qiaolian, an orphan who has suffered endless bullying, never imagined that while she was up the mountain gathering firewood, she would come across a handsome young gentleman.

Not only is this gentleman strikingly handsome and nimble, he's also exceptionally grateful. His chosen way of repaying Li Qiaolian is to squat in her home and refuse to leave.

Li Qiaolian: Fine. At least he's gorgeous. I'll keep him at home as a lucky charm.

Lucky charm: Why do you think such a fine, elegant gentleman like me is hiding in your cowshed? Do you think I'm stupid?

As a hostage prince with maxed-out stats, Fu Qian has endured humiliation for sixteen years, and can finally escape the political whirlpool of intrigue and return home.

But on his way back, he is repeatedly framed and falls into a desperate ravine. Fortunately, he is rescued by Li Qiaolian, an orphan from the Li family, and narrowly escapes death.

He plans to lie low for a few days in Li Qiaolian's little thatched hut, since he is all alone. But it turns out the hut's owner is a total marshmallow. Her brother and sister-in-law treat her badly, and even passing dogs can make her cry by barking at her.

Fu Qian has no choice. To maintain a decent quality of life while on the run, he decides to personally train this honest girl!

Honest girl: Didn't you say you'd treat me like your little sister? Why are you suddenly calling me your wife? Where are your manners? Your decency?

The capital is under siege, and Fu Qian is barely keeping his own head above water. All he hopes is that Li Qiaolian can take care of herself and stop letting people bully her. But who could have expected this?

The cries of battle thunder beneath the city walls. From a sea of blood and corpses, a resolute figure charges forth!

Clad in armor and wielding a long saber, Li Qiaolian walks step by step into the great hall, smiles sweetly at him, and says, "Your Majesty, I've come to take you home."
