Chi Ling's story begins with the classic amnesia trope, and she thinks she can handle it.
Even if the setting around her is straight out of a classic laboratory scene, and she's inside a cultivation tank.
Chi Ling still nods calmly. A laboratory? She knows this stuff!
Until she realizes the body she's in can't even crawl...
Maybe she should just start over.
She can't even close her hands, but she struggles for a full thirty minutes to pull out her own oxygen tube. Just as she is about to glimpse the light of destiny!
The familiar sounds of explosions, gunfire, and all sorts of strange noises erupt.
She can't remember anything, but this still feels familiar... somehow...
The next second, a tall, dashing figure in an outfit radiating righteous heroism appears, dressed all in black!
He looks at her hand as she struggles to pull out her oxygen tube. Chi Ling looks at her hand, too.
Their beautiful eyes meet.
Don't come any closer!!!
Chi Ling blows bubbles, utterly resigned to her fate.
*Chi Ling thinks it makes absolutely no sense that she can remember playing games when she has even forgotten how to use her own hands properly.
And why has she played so many games! Was she some shut-in who did nothing but play games at home!

She's still listening, you know! What is wrong with this leg!
