(This is a tentative blurb for the upcoming story. The overall story will remain unchanged.)
Fu Wangzheng is an overlooked concubine-born daughter of the family. She steps out of her secluded courtyard and into public view thanks to her social grace, her meticulous and considerate ways, and her obedient, well-behaved nature.
The Princess of Xiang befriends her and brings her along to every banquet. Gradually, others come to recognize her simply as Fu Wangzheng, rather than as a concubine-born daughter of the Fu family.
She is also keenly aware of her own place. She is always disciplined and proper, never seeking repayment or recognition for her deeds, and never once revealing her feelings to the young emperor.
When the emperor grants rewards, she wouldn't dare take credit alone. At a banquet at the Prince of Xiang's residence, she should have been seated at the place of honor, but when the young emperor suddenly arrives, she moves to a table with the other guests...
No one thinks the two of them could ever have any connection, not even Fu Wangzheng herself.
Then one day, the emperor's retinue arrives at the Fu residence, and he names her directly: "I've come to see the Fu family's third young lady."
The powerful one had planned to make his wife chase after him, but she was too perceptive, so he had no choice but to go after her himself, headfirst and without hesitation.
