Setting: The Three Skies Sect, the most powerful cultivation sect in the world, rules through force. When the demon realm invades, it leads the resistance and defeats the demons. Then it proposes creating an orderly, fair cultivation world where everyone can access cultivation resources. After conquering and offering amnesty through various means, it unifies the cultivation world and establishes the Immortal Alliance to govern it.
The female lead is a junior clerk in a department at the Immortal Alliance headquarters. Her supervisor dislikes her and assigns her to a remote department, but she is determined to transfer back to headquarters.
The male lead is an inner disciple of a remote sect. He is talented and levelheaded, but to those in power, he is merely a backup choice for their plans.
While investigating a case, the two uncover a secret about the Immortal Alliance. To save the cultivation world, the male lead overcomes the opposition and makes the secret public.
As they follow the Dao and defend it, the two come to understand, support, and love each other. Together, they dismantle the Immortal Alliance's ramshackle regime and attain the Great Dao.
