I Became My Ex-Wife's Cat

Bai Yue couldn't bear her sexless marriage any longer, so she resolutely divorced Lu Xing Xing, the wife she'd married through an arranged alliance just six months earlier.

For six months, her wife had left early and returned late every day, busy with company business. Even at meals, she never put down her phone.

There was no love between them, no fluttering hearts, not even sex.

When Bai Yue asked Lu Xing Xing for a divorce, all she got was a cool, "Okay."

After the divorce, Bai Yue was coaxed by her best friend into going to a singles' party.

Drunk and dizzy, she woke up to find she'd become a cat.

The very cat she'd given Lu Xing Xing as an engagement gift when they got married.

After becoming a cat, she discovered that Lu Xing Xing had become a completely different person.

She murmured Bai Yue's name in her sleep, stared distractedly at Bai Yue's photo while eating, and held Bai Yue's clothes late at night, eyes red and unable to stop herself.

Even while holding the cat, all she said was, "Why did your mom divorce me?"

Bai Yue had been coveting her beauty for a long time, so she took the chance to rub and paw at her, licking and biting her.

Then Lu Xing Xing's stepsister returned from abroad. Her ex-wife immediately covered the little cat's eyes. "Bai Yue, don't look at her."

Bai Yue: ??? When did I get found out?

Bai Yue: And who is this, anyway?

What Bai Yue didn't know was that on the night they divorced, Lu Xing Xing had knelt before the statue of Guanyin for an entire day and night, praying for one thing:

For Bai Yue to come back to her, even if she had to become a cat.

What Bai Yue knew even less was that Lu Xing Xing had been holding herself back because on their wedding night, she'd found a photo of her stepsister in Bai Yue's pocket. Someone had drawn a huge heart over the face in pink marker...
