I Borrowed a Baby from the Crown Prince

Xu Siji was merely a country gentleman's son. Then one day, Mu Yuan, heir to the Marquis of Dingbei, who had come out from the capital for a change of scenery, took one look at him and fell for him.

Mu Yuan immediately went to Xu Siji's home to propose, promising him the position of principal husband to the heir.

They got engaged in June and married in September.

Xu Siji entered the marquis's residence full of joy, only to have his hopes dashed on their wedding night. His new husband, Mu Yuan, told him to go out and find someone else to father a child with him. The reason was simple: Mu Yuan was infertile, and he had chosen Xu Siji as his principal husband precisely because he thought he would be easy to control!

P.S. A short story with no logic, expected to be twenty to thirty thousand words. I thought too highly of myself.

P.P.S. The whole story is already written, and I'll post it once it's all ready. Both are virgins, and it's a sweet romance.

Theme: What looks like a windfall could actually be a trap.
