Two people with nothing in common meet at an art exhibition after both mistake the date. They grow close quickly, but also argue constantly. One stubbornly tries to set a fire in the other, while the other stubbornly seeks reassurance that she is loved.
After Cheng Yan gets the date wrong, she discovers Min Wei got it wrong too. For reasons she can't explain, she accepts Min Wei's invitation, then realizes how perfectly they suit each other.
They hold hands in galleries and kiss on rooftops, but they also clash in argument after argument, until Min Wei deliberately skips an exhibition.
"If I never came, would you keep waiting, or leave when the time was up?"
Everything has cracks. That's where the light gets in. Kintsugi isn't about hiding cracks, but about making what is broken unique. Two people with cracks of their own learn, in the clumsiest way, to mend each other's fractures.
Theme: Don't try to become a perfect person. Become a whole person.
