[Digimon Adventure] The Summer Gramophone

If you can, then please make this wish come true.

“...Why are you tying a green ribbon to this treetop?”

You struggled up the tree behind the teaching building at Seijo High School, then carefully tied the green ribbon the girl had given you to a branch.

You really didn't understand why she had sneaked out here so late at night.

She also kept looking around nervously. Was she worried a security guard might come by?

“Um, anyway, it's really important! Make sure nobody sees, okay?”

It wasn't until three years later that you learned why.

Her mother had once written a wish on a green ribbon and tied it to that branch when nobody was watching. In the end, her wish came true.

“Speaking of wishes... Chi is just as stubborn as her mother.”

You looked at the girl’s friend, who was smiling, a little surprised and unsure what she meant.

“Don't you want to know? What was written on that ribbon? I took a peek, you know.”

“‘I want to be childhood friends with Koshiro for the rest of my life.’ That's what it said~”

You suddenly felt like smiling.

Then you thought of the literary girl who was always curled up in your room, happily devouring page after page of a book.
