An Nuoer has known since childhood that he is a superpowered person. His ability is to imitate others.
However, An Nuoer's power seems to be an incomplete version. He can only imitate someone after touching their hair or blood, and even then, he can never imitate them perfectly.
His imitations always look similar enough to be recognizable, but never quite the same. And if the person he's imitating has a special ability, he needs an incredible stroke of luck to copy even a tiny bit of it.
An Nuoer used to think the only way he'd ever use this power was to become a makeup transformation influencer after growing up and leaving the orphanage.
But then he suddenly found himself saddled with an enormous debt, and saw the news that Gotham's richest man, Wayne, had announced that he was taking in a child he'd fathered in the past. An Nuoer touched his own face and decided to take a gamble:
He was going to pretend to be a Wayne!
Sure, he'd never pass a paternity test. But maybe Gotham's richest man would be kind enough to adopt one more child because of their similar looks, black hair, and blue eyes... or at least give him a little more financial support? An Nuoer thought hopefully.
After a series of steps far more complicated than he'd imagined, and even having to pretend to be all sorts of people's children under various identities along the way, An Nuoer finally got hold of one of the richest man Wayne's hairs.
He went to claim his "family" under a new identity. Surrounded by the Wayne family, who seemed a little odd for some reason, An Nuoer nervously went over how he would act once the paternity test results came back, hoping to wheedle some financial support. And then...
Then the paternity test came back positive.
An Nuoer: ?
Wait, what exactly is his superpower?
Before You Read:
1. The timeline is all over the place. OOC warning.
2. After reading too many stories about superheroes and supervillains getting surprise kids, I decided that if I was going to ride the trend, I might as well ride all of it... Now that I've made him a shape-shifter, I can pick whatever kind of money power or superpower I want (not really).
3. Pre-release. The blurb may change. Note added 2026.05.08
