Heartbeats Transmit Heat

"A slice-of-life story. Read with caution."

At their first meeting, just one glance was enough for Shu He to be stunned by the man's flawless looks.

Unfortunately, his flaws were just as obvious: neither his ability to communicate nor his social skills seemed fully developed.

Later, a kind friend took her home, where she happened to meet her friend's older brother:

The cold, handsome man who had left her alone in a forest in the rain half an hour earlier.

His expression unchanged and his feelings unreadable, he remained perfectly calm, as if he had never met her.

-

The casual conversation they'd had on the way was repeated by his clueless younger sister, turning into a string of sharp complaints delivered straight to the man himself.

After managing to offend him completely by accident, the financially strapped Shu He unexpectedly became a guest under Jiang Shiyu's roof, relying on his "kindness."

Later, her back pain flared up again.

In her pajamas, Shu He lay across the sofa, with no choice but to press against Jiang Shiyu's leg.

His younger sister, Jiang Shihan, came home early and caught them in an intimate, "disheveled" pose. She felt as if the sky had fallen. "You two?!"

Shu He struggled to sit up and explain the misunderstanding, but the hand on her lower back suddenly pressed down with force.

"Don't move."

His palm slowly shifted and kneaded. Jiang Shiyu's eyelids twitched, and he calmly poured fuel on the fire: "Doesn't your back hurt anymore?"

-

Shu He had thought Jiang Shiyu was a celibate PhD who'd shut his heart away.

Turns out he's a closet flirt =3
