Something was off.

With a few cutouts of cardboard and a makeshift stage, she identified the murderer in an instant.

Everyone was stunned.

No big deal, Su Tang thought. She hadn't been a murder-mystery game host in her previous life for nothing.

But a man scoffed, tapping the armrest as he called her reasoning vague and mocked her for making a mountain out of a molehill.

Su Tang did not argue. She calmly laid out her reasoning, one point at a time, leaving him speechless.

Later, she solved one unsolved case and strange affair after another, using all kinds of methods. She earned the people's love and admiration, and they respectfully called her the Commissioner.

Later still, the Bureau of Case Plays was established, and case plays were added to the legal code. As she stood in the great hall explaining the subject, she saw him remove his martial robes and walk toward her in white.

"Shen Du."

She closed her book and looked up with a smile. "Why did you help me back then?"

"They couldn't do without you."

"And now?"

Seeing the tips of his ears turn red, Su Tang stepped closer and asked again, "Is that still the reason?"

Shen Du said nothing. The moment she turned away, he pulled her into his arms.

Su Tang: I still prefer the way you were back then, arrogant and unruly.

Both are each other's only partner, 1v1, two strong leads, with an older-woman-and-younger-man dynamic. A sweet romance.
