When transfer student Xia Zhiyan first met student council president Shen Ximu, they fell for each other at first sight. Shen Ximu came from a wealthy family and excelled academically. She gave all her tenderness to Xia Zhiyan, whose grades were merely average. But their happiness did not last. The Shen family forced Shen Ximu to break up with Xia Zhiyan for a marriage alliance, then took her overseas. The whole class knew what had happened, but they all chose to keep it secret. Xia Zhiyan searched desperately for her for years, and at last received word that she was coming home. Overjoyed, she never expected Shen Ximu to die in a plane crash. The devastating blow broke Xia Zhiyan completely. She gradually developed schizophrenia, spending her days trapped in an obsession, accompanied by an illusion.
