The order of the Three Realms has collapsed. The divine realm has shut its doors, and the demon realm is in turmoil. Demons and monsters run rampant in the human world. Only Delusion-Tenders can use their spiritual power to suppress evil spirits and guide them back into the void. Delusion-Tenders are extremely rare, and most are cold-hearted and aloof. If they fall in love, their spiritual power dissipates, and when it does, they die.
Aman is a koi spirit who has practiced cultivation for five hundred years without becoming a true spirit. By accident, she wanders into the barrier of Xie Wang, a Delusion-Tender, and the two become bound together by an unbreakable bond.
