This One Piece story is called Berserk Sea Is Also a Sea. It is also known as One Piece: Worrying About the Plot Getting Derailed by the Butterfly Effect Every Day, Searching for Anchors of Humanity in the One Piece World, and One Piece: The Schrödinger's Crew Members of the Straw Hat Pirates.
Story Introduction:
One ordinary day, when the weather was fair, a meteor suddenly fell from the azure sky. It was the beginning of everything. After that day, humanity discovered that people had supernatural powers. They awakened their psychic abilities and entered an age where everyone was a superhero.
This blessing seemed wonderful, but in truth it was a curse from the abyss.
As psychic powers grew stronger, the boundary between reality and imagination became blurred. By the time people realized what was happening, it was too late. That day, imagination became reality, emotions burst through their skins, and countless uncontrolled torrents of psychic energy converged into a raging tsunami, tearing reality to shreds.
The Berserk Sea was born.
To avoid being swallowed by this merciless psychic sea, the survivors had to find things that could serve as anchors and stabilize them, such as family photos or treasured belongings imbued with meaning.
Mo An, an anime fan, happened to be lying in bed with headphones on, engrossed in One Piece, the classic anime her friend had recommended, when disaster struck. Everything happened too fast. As her consciousness was torn apart, her psychic powers instinctively reached for anything nearby that could serve as an anchor and save her. And just like that, a mysterious passageway opened.
...Out on the sea, a boy in a red vest was so hungry he was slumped over the side of his boat. Suddenly, he felt it hit something. In an instant, he sprang up, wide awake.
"Huh! Have we reached an island already?"
He looked around with wide eyes, only to find that this strange island was completely barren. The only unusual thing was a casually dressed girl standing by the beach, watching him eagerly.
She rubbed her hands together like a fly, her tone enticing.
"Hey, young man, want to make a contract?"
Note:
Luffy is the predetermined male lead for the romance, but the main story focuses on friendship and companionship. The romance will be explored in more detail in the extras. (Because it's Luffy, sigh.)
There are original characters and plenty of original plotlines. Whether she joins the crew is Schrödinger's cat: maybe she will, maybe she won't.
The OOC is on me. If you spot any plot holes, just think of them as differences in a parallel world. (Bowing with hands together.) P.S. There will be quite a lot of original plot, and the story will not follow the main plot exactly.
Inspired by Warhammer and Lord of the Mysteries.
Theme: The positive influence of peer relationships.
