Then, while she is asleep once more, a powerful oath wakes her: “I swear by Chaos, the Goddess of Oaths, and my divine office that I will remain faithful to it for the rest of my life!” What? Still groggy, Anna finds herself, long and scaly as she is, easily lifted up by a divine beauty. The woman cheerfully calls over her younger brother, who has just finished swearing his oath and looks utterly despairing: “Apollo, come hold your one and only wife!” ??? The snake is utterly baffled. She doesn’t know exactly what’s going on, but her life as a god is wonderful. Notes: 1. There are many versions of Greek mythology, some of which contradict each other or get mixed up with Roman mythology, so let’s just go with the story’s version. The author isn’t an expert, so please don’t scrutinize the details too closely. There are notes in the author’s comments. You can still jump in if you haven’t read the myths, and the author will help sort out the character relationships. Please support the story, I’m begging you! 2. This is a lighthearted story. Because of the power of oaths, the male lead is utterly faithful and devoted. 3. The heroine will become a goddess with her own divine office. She’s a bit mischievous and loves sleeping. 4. Gods and humans alike have many sides. The gods of ancient Greek mythology have human forms and traits, and self-interest is eternal. 5. There will be no scary snake scenes, so feel free to dive in. The author is afraid of snakes too, but writing Anna has been easy and fun. Please don’t insult the author or the heroine. 6.
