This story takes place in an era steeped in feudal ideas and features many characters.
A Wan, an orphan from the lowest rung of society, grows up in the home of relatives and starts working as an apprentice at a tailor shop when she's young. One quiet day, she meets the male lead, Chi Zhouyi, a young man who comes in to have his clothes mended. A few casual words mark the beginning of their lives together.
They dream of broadening their horizons and pursuing their ambitions, and of moving to a big city to build a future together.
Perhaps they were always destined to be together for a lifetime.
Theme: In time, we will all find a place where we can live in peace.
