I'm Definitely Not Your Uncle

A one-legged uncle who sells erotic paintings to support his family and gets mistaken for a pervert x a conservative, deaf-mute heiress who spends money like there's no tomorrow

The poor scholar He Yingxing, who had a broken leg, got saddled with someone else's mess: an old scholar who had advised him on his writing five years earlier.

For some reason, the old scholar had taken it into his head to rebel and restore the previous dynasty, and his whole family was dragged down with him. Before things went wrong, he bundled up his only daughter and secretly sent her away, leaving her at He Yingxing's doorstep.

He begged He Yingxing to take her in out of gratitude for the advice he'd given him years ago. In return, he offered his daughter as He Yingxing's wife. Yet while the old scholar told He Yingxing he had promised the girl to him, he told his daughter that He Yingxing was her uncle.

To support the girl, He Yingxing painted erotic pictures for people. It paid well. But the conservative young lady discovered one of his paintings and pointed at him, scolding:

"Lewd! Pervert!"

He Yingxing's image as her uncle took a nosedive. A year later, she found herself a respectable gentleman to marry, but still needed her uncle's approval before she could wed.

He Yingxing clenched his fists and ground his back teeth to dust. "Your father chose a suitable husband for you before he died. You and I are not related. What right do I have to be your uncle?"

When she really met the husband her father had chosen for her, she packed her bags and ran away from home that very night.

She didn't want to marry her uncle!

[Reading Guide]

1. The male lead was framed and stripped of his scholarly title. This will be explained later.

2. The male lead's leg probably won't get better, but the female lead's deafness and muteness will be cured.

3. Updates whenever the mood strikes. This story won't be paywalled. (P.S. It probably wouldn't get paywalled anyway. It's a shorter story of around 100,000 words.)
