In their second year of high school, they were assigned to the same class. Song Yuyan didn't particularly like Lin Yanjin. When they were little, whenever Song Yuyan did anything, little Lin Yanjin would find out, so Song Yuyan often got scolded by his mother. That made him really dislike Lin Yanjin.
Though it was just a joke between children, he knew he had gone too far. He didn't dwell on it.
But when he was ten, his parents left for reasons he didn't understand, and he went to live with his grandmother. At school, people kept calling him a kid with no parents. At first he ignored them, but the bullying continued, and he never said a word.
He was unable to sleep every night, waking from nightmares. He lost his appetite and hated the sunlight... He hated who he had become.
