Taixu Sea is not a sea. It is a relic of sound.
For hundreds of millions of years, countless broken Tao sounds, dissipated consciousness, and annihilated cause and effect have been deposited here, like invisible layers of salt, covered layer by layer and solidified layer by layer. There is no light in the depths of Taixu Sea, only endless echoes - those forgotten, abandoned, and terminated voices refract and devour each other in the darkness, forming eternal noise.
Yunche Island is the sound picker of Taixu Sea. His job is to salvage those valuable sound fragments at the junction of silence and noise, and sell them to formation masters, weapon refiners, or those who try to find opportunities to break through the echoes of the past. He never inquired about the source of the sound, nor explored the story behind the fragments. Empathy is the most useless skill in this industry.
Until one day, he salvaged an echo in the depths of Taixu Sea that did not belong to any known inheritance - it was a voice that had never been made, a choice that had never been made, and a road that had never been embarked on. In the echo, a woman said: "You are finally here." Her tone was calm, but it seemed like she had been waiting for a long time.
From then on, every time he salvaged, it caused slight distortions in the real world. And deep in the Taixu Sea, something was waking up, calling, waiting for him to put all the pieces together into a complete one - an echo of himself that he had long forgotten.
This is not a story about cultivation. This is a story about how memories are deposited in the depths of time, how forgetfulness grows in silence, and how a sound picker hears his own forgotten echoes while salvaging the voices of others.
Intention: All living beings have echoes, and forgetting is fate.
People spend their whole lives salvaging the past, but in fact they are just being retrieved by the past.
All silence, regret, and unchosen roads will eventually meet you again in the depths of silence.
