I Want the Bright Moon to Hang High and Shine on Me Alone

As Old Master Fu's precious eldest grandson, Fu Yuanzhou heard one thing more than anything else growing up:

Be glad you have a younger uncle. He's the reason you can live your own life. Whatever you want, your uncle will give it to you.

Ever since he was young, he'd thought Fu Zhengting was a beast in fine clothes, someone who'd stop at nothing and was no good at all.

But he was more than happy to play the part of a loving uncle and dutiful nephew in front of his grandfather.

He'd wheedle Fu Zhengting for a supercar, a yacht, or a private jet, and Fu Zhengting would give them to him. His grandfather was delighted to see it, too.

Then, at the age of twenty-five, he asked Fu Zhengting in front of his grandfather, "Will you really give me anything I want?"

Fu Zhengting said, "Of course."

He replied, "Then I want Jiang Tingyue."

Fu Zhengting froze.

He said, "I want Jiang Tingyue. You don't even love him!"

■

Jiang Tingyue's family fell into decline when he was young. It was only with Old Master Fu's help that he was able to finish his education.

Having experienced life's ups and downs, he developed a rare gift among their social circle for understanding others and adapting to any situation.

He was so good at reading people that it made his life all the harder.

Fu Yuanzhou had seen him come to thank his grandfather in his school uniform, holding his report card.

He'd seen him join the company in a well-tailored suit, always gentle and refined, handling every major and minor business matter with care and turning conflict into harmony.

Fu Zhengting was a favored son of heaven, arrogant and ill-tempered enough to be disliked even by cats and dogs. Jiang Tingyue was the only one who could stand by his side.

Whenever Fu Yuanzhou saw Fu Zhengting treat Jiang Tingyue badly, it felt as though his heart were being cut to pieces.

Then one day, he saw Fu Zhengting lose his temper with Jiang Tingyue in front of the company's directors and executives, even smashing a cup.

Fu Yuanzhou rushed in, took Jiang Tingyue by the hand, led him out, and said, "Come with me."

He wanted the bright moon to hang high and shine.

He also wanted that moon to shine on him alone.
