Ming Yao takes life and death very seriously. She believes that as long as people are alive, everything will get better. Unfortunately, her partner is a lunatic who doesn't care if he lives or dies.

Ming Yao doesn't want to care whether He Lanshan lives or dies, but that goes against the belief she's always held. So she gives He Lanshan another chance.

They had silently parted ways in perfect understanding, and after that, He Lanshan never heard from Ming Yao again.
He knew she must have found somewhere far away to hide. After all, whenever there was something she didn't want to do, she used to hide where nobody could find her.
So he had never expected that someone who treasured her life so much would come looking for him, no matter the cost.
He Lanshan suddenly didn't want to die anymore.
The others looked back and forth between them. "You two know each other?"

Their current teammates were curious about their history, but no matter how much He Lanshan thought about it, he couldn't find a word to define their relationship.
When Ming Yao launched into a scolding just like she used to, He Lanshan forgot about his injuries and only felt like laughing.
Only after Ming Yao had finished scolding him and held out her hand, saying, "Long time no see," did he realize just how much he had been looking forward to seeing her.
