With shipping couples all the rage, AAA TV has launched a brand-new show, "Which Couple Are You Shipping Today?" Its promise: Enjoy different couples and savor life in all its flavors!
Every week, viewers can vote for their favorite couple to earn extra livestream time for sweet moments and more bonus content.
But to boost the show's popularity, the network has ditched the sweet scripts of ordinary dating shows and chosen four unconventional groups of guests: the gong stans, the shou stans, the gong-dotes-on-shou group (leans shou), and the shou-dotes-on-gong group (leans gong).
You ask why there's no mutual-spoiling group? The producer gives a cold laugh. "There's no such thing as a truly equal, mutual-spoiling relationship in this world! Mutual-spoiling CP fans have no say! They just get forced into the gong-stan or shou-stan camps. Is there really any need to set up a group specifically for them?"
Gong-stan group: aloof beauty gong × insecure, devoted shou
Shou-stan group: blindly loyal puppy gong × cold, proud queen shou
Gong-dotes-on-shou group: gentle, doting husband gong × cold-faced, adorably clueless shou
Shou-dotes-on-gong group: cute, clingy gong × burly, motherly shou
Week One: The shou-stan group takes a commanding lead with its massive following.
Week Two: The gong-dotes-on-shou group, with the broadest appeal, wins first place thanks to its solid fan base.
Week Three: The gong stans unite to send their own CP to the top.
Week Four: The gong aunties and burly shou aunties put aside their differences and vote the shou-dotes-on-gong group into first place.
But while the viewers outside the show argue and ship their favorites like crazy, the eight guests on the show can only look at one another in silence. This isn't how we're supposed to act at all!
Halfway through the show, viewers begin to sense that something is off. In some pairings, the one being doted on suddenly starts protecting their own husband or wife. In others, someone "strays from the nest," secretly exchanging meaningful looks with someone else...
The fans: What is going on?! Aaaaaah!
By the time the show ends, the director stands on the closing gala stage and announces, with a heavy tone that can't conceal his delight:
Our four CP groups, no, our four reconfigured CP groups, have not a single pair that perfectly embodies their group name--
Every one of the four couples has ended up treating each other equally!
In an instant, all the gong-stan and shou-stan factions across the internet lose it, frantically sending warning letters to the production team. But the producer just spreads both hands and says it doesn't matter:
Sorry, the facts show that after the re-pairings, mutual-spoiling CP fans spent far more money voting than any of you. We've made a fortune, okay!
[Clingy Couple] Gentle, scheming gong with a strong desire to control × aloof, obedient, instinct-driven shou
[Villain Couple] Black-hearted, low-morality gentleman gong × black-hearted, detached, fake gentleman shou
The other two CP groups are still to be determined...
1. All four couples are devoted only to each other and are each other's first love. They're all superstars, so the "everyone loves them" tag is perfectly appropriate.
2. This is the product of an author who has gone crazy shipping CPs, the author's ultimate fantasy. It does not allude to any real-life shows or fan groups.
3. It has no connection to the real entertainment industry and is not based on real people.
4. You can criticize the author, but don't insult the couples. Comments insulting them will be deleted.
