The Amnesiac Player Still Wants to Clear the Game Today

The day before starting high school, Natsuki Kazuma got into a car accident.

The bad news: he was in a coma for a year.

The good news: the only lasting effect was amnesia.

As his childhood friend clung to him, sobbing, Natsuki Kazuma turned his gaze to the interface that had appeared before his eyes as soon as he woke up.

A game panel.

And he seemed to be a player in this world.

The wheel spun wildly, and the pointer slowly stopped on a glowing gold option.

"Congratulations! You got: Double-Yolk Serve (Lv. 3)"

...?

So what on earth did he just get?

[After several years, Karasuno High School, once known as "the fallen powerhouse, the flightless crows," pulled off an upset against the perennial champions Shiratorizawa and returned to the Spring High national tournament. There are dark horses every year, and this year it's Karasuno. Will their success prove fleeting, or do they have what it takes? The Spring High stage will tell us...]

A rookie reporter crouched in the stands, scribbling away at a draft.

Below was Karasuno High School's first match. Although the news that Miyagi Prefecture had a new representative this year had caused quite a stir, on the opening day, there were still relatively few spectators in the section of the divided gymnasium reserved for Karasuno... That should have been the case...

But could someone explain why the seats beside him, which had been empty just moments ago, were now full?

And...!

On closer inspection, they were all wearing familiar team tracksuits. They were the powerhouse teams and championship favorites his editor had repeatedly told him to keep an eye on...!

The smiling young man leaned against the railing, but his gaze held an almost stoic determination. He looked toward that person.

The player drawing the most attention in the gym at that very moment.

A whistle blew, and in the blink of an eye, a deafening thud rang out.

Heavy.

Like a thunderclap, it landed in the hearts of everyone present.

Natsuki Kazuma landed lightly and looked down at his hand.

No matter how many times he hit the ball, the sensation was incredible, like an electric current running down his arm to his fingertips.

An indescribable rush of excitement.

Natsuki Kazuma unconsciously grabbed the front of his shirt, then raised his face again with a carefree grin.

"Ha, not bad."

In a corner where no one could see, the attributes on Natsuki Kazuma's panel quietly changed.
