Leisurely Days in the Sixties

Lin Jinghao transmigrates into the 1960s, becoming a pampered but spoiled, love-addled supporting female character.

Lin Jinghao hasn't enjoyed a single day of being the family's darling, but she's inherited a body wrecked by that head-banging stunt. With a concussion and blood loss, she's stuck in bed, unable to move.

Her mother sneers, "Once you're healed, you're going to your maternal grandparents' place. You'll get a good taste of country life and sweat all that nonsense out of your head."

Her father sighs. "People can't teach you what you won't learn. One lesson from life is enough."

The whole family watches. "How did the Lin family end up with such a brainless lovesick fool?"

Today, the old man next door gets swindled out of his money while eloping with a young widow. Tomorrow, the abusive man downstairs gets beaten half to death by his wife. Word is, that sister-in-law has had a change of heart, all thanks to her own mother.

Lin Jinghao munches on sunflower seeds and snacks as her life gets better and better.

The only imperfection?

Dr. Shen, who stitched her up, always looks at her as if to say, "I've seen right through you."

She thinks he's gentle and handsome, a good guy.

He thinks she's a "pretty, dumb idiot" who'd die over a man. She's a lost cause.

Later, someone arranges a blind date for her.

Lin Jinghao opens the door and sees Shen Lin sitting there, looking even more stiff than she does.

They both blurt out, "What are you doing here?"

Later still, Dr. Shen, who once said she was "a lost cause," becomes her most devoted convert, ready to eat his words.

He works himself to the bone, pulling overtime and saving money. She lies flat, enjoys the gossip, and helps him spend it.

Shen Lin: "Could you try having a little ambition?"

Lin Jinghao: "Could you try enjoying yourself a little?"

Neither can convince the other, but their life together just gets sweeter.

Later, the spoiled brat who nearly got kicked out of the house becomes the family's most promising treasure.

And Dr. Shen, who once thought so little of her, becomes her most devoted supporter.
