Day fifty of the Demon Lord incubating the egg.

Pei Xuan closes his eyes to meditate. Just as he is about to gather his qi in his dantian, he suddenly hears a babyish voice: "Daddy, I want Mommy! I want Mommy!"

Pei Xuan abruptly opens his eyes and glares at the plump egg in the luxurious nest beside him. "Quiet. I don't know who your mother is."

The egg, aggrieved: "Daddy..."

Pei Xuan's gaze suddenly drops. In the silence, he thinks of a dream in the pouring rain, the bed curtains warm and cozy, and the young woman who once clung to him...
