Lin Jing had a dream.
In it, she wasn't human. She was an artificial intelligence with a mechanical heart, sent by the gods to hunt down a traitor who had stolen the Seed of Souls. The traitor was named Cang Shu, her former partner. She killed him with her own hands.
Then she woke with a start.
In the real world, Lin Jing is the Lin family's adopted daughter. Her older brother, Lin Ji, has been lying unconscious in a hospital bed since a car accident, while branches of the family watch hungrily for their chance. She thought all she could do was wait in despair, clinging to that last scrap of hope. Then, one night, a cold mechanical voice sounded in her mind:
[Welcome to Eden.]
Eden is an infinite space made up of countless mission worlds. Complete missions to earn Wish Dust, which can be exchanged for attributes, items, and skills. Failure means death. If you die in a mission world, you will also suffer sudden death in the real world, and no one knows why.
Lin Jing has no way out. She must enter Eden and earn Wish Dust, because every time she returns from completing a mission, her sleeping brother gets a little better. This is the only hope of waking Lin Ji.
Premise: Protect the light of humanity.
