Zhou Bu Ning, a special member of the Knight Squad, arrives in Xiangyang City to help the Special Ability Investigation Institute, which handles cases involving ordinary people and ability users, crack down on the illegal ability trade.
On her first day at work, Zhou Bu Ning demolished the victim's house. That same day, her superior handed her two letters of complaint to deal with herself.
On her second day at work, Zhou Bu Ning returned the letters of complaint to Xi Tang and the others in front of everyone, and told them the proper way to file a complaint against her.
At the hospital, Zhou Bu Ning saw her neighbor's corpse.
Xi Tang: "Rabbit, go up to the roof and see if you can find anything else."
Zhou Bu Ning: "I can't."
Xi Tang: "Use what you're good at and get the surveillance footage."
Zhou Bu Ning used vines to seal off the entire hospital.
"Isn't this a little... excessive?"
Zhou Bu Ning: "Don't compare me to ordinary ability users."
As the investigation continued, a cold "tail" appeared behind Zhou Bu Ning at some point.
The "tail" didn't hold her back or argue with her. It simply followed her everywhere.
Xi Tang: "What are we to each other?"
Zhou Bu Ning: "A forced association."
As the two spent more time together, Zhou Bu Ning developed feelings for her tail.
She confessed to her tail and joined her in capturing the main culprits behind the illegal ability trade. But when faced with a dozen men and women of all ages who had temporarily gained abilities and turned against them, she changed her mind.
Xi Tang: "Zhou Bu Ning, you lied to me again."
Zhou Bu Ning: "I'm sorry."
