Here’s the blurb for this story:
Song Xianzhu was once pinned to a stone wall with a sword through his core. Blood he couldn’t swallow, mixed with his essence, choked out of his mouth.
The person holding the sword had a grip as steady as the roots of the almond trees on Yin Mountain, but his voice trembled slightly. “I’m sorry.”
Song Xianzhu bowed his head and smiled.
He didn’t understand what he was apologizing for.
They had kissed and loved each other. In the end, with one sword stroke, he killed the demon and attained immortality.
That was all right. It was only human nature. He could chalk it up to his own inexperience and ignorance of how cruel people could be.
He only hoped that, in all their future reincarnations, they would never meet again.
Later, it turned out Song Xianzhu hadn’t died.
When he woke, his demon core was gone, and his memories were fragmented. All he knew was that he had slept through seven hundred years.
Song Xianzhu remained optimistic. “It’s fine. My demon core’s lost. I just need to find it.”
So a great demon in the secret identity of a travel blogger began searching the world for his demon core.
But just as he caught the scent of his demon core, he stumbled headfirst into a demon-catching cage set by a novice demon hunter.
The demon hunter, fascinated, pinches his fluffy ears and exposes his secret identity without mercy. “A little cat demon?”
Song Xianzhu turns and runs.
Obviously! He’s lost all his demon power. If he doesn’t run now, when will he?
But the demon hunter follows him like a persistent ghost, joining him in one illusion after another and helping him find fragment after fragment of his shattered demon core.
Song Xianzhu asks what he wants, and the demon hunter tilts his head, thinks for a long while, then smiles, eyes curved. “Your ears are nice to pet.”
Watching the man follow behind him and take down whatever he points at, sharp-tongued, scheming, and unpredictable but never once harming him, Song Xianzhu quietly thinks: Maybe this isn’t so bad.
Later, after recovering his memories, Song Xianzhu warily steps away from the man, claws aimed at his throat. “What are you trying to do this time?”
The demon hunter has also just recovered his memories. He pauses, then looks down at him. “It’s been a long time... Does it still hurt?”

New Upcoming Story
Reborn and Raised as My Disciple’s Spirit Pet
The last thing Mu Yunlan sees before dying is his disciple, long since expelled from the sect, detonating his demonic core and laying waste to the world.
When Mu Yunlan opens his eyes again, he has been reborn on the day they first met.
To save the people of the world, he resolves to raise this little disciple all over again, determined to make him into a noble gentleman of peerless grace.
But his old injury flares up, and with a pop, Mu Yunlan turns back into his true form, a fox. His disciple, who has rushed in to pay his respects, grabs him by the tail.
“Master actually keeps a spirit pet!”
Mortified beyond words, Mu Yunlan closes his eyes and pretends to be dead. Instead, he’s gathered into a warm embrace and has his head fur rubbed.
Mu Yunlan’s vision goes dark.
The mighty Immortal Venerable Qingyue has been reborn, and the first thing that happens is his disciple cuddling and kissing him and holding him up high.
Ji Chen’an thinks something has been very strange about his master since he came out of seclusion.
Specifically:
He suddenly started testing Ji Chen’an’s studies, suddenly takes him everywhere, and suddenly got himself a fox as a spirit pet.
Although his master still wears flowing white robes and remains cold and untouchable, Ji Chen’an is certain: his master must have suddenly fallen for him.
Otherwise, how would he know Ji Chen’an had always wanted to keep a fox?
Every night, Ji Chen’an falls asleep hugging the fox, burying his face in its fur and dreaming of dual cultivation with his master. He even sneaks immortal herbs out of the medicine hall to fatten the fox up.
But why does this fox like the same foods as his master?
Later, Mu Yunlan is gravely injured when surrounded by the demon clan and changes back into his true form in front of everyone.
Ji Chen’an watches helplessly as his all-powerful master turns into the fox that has kept him company day and night. The fox’s pure white, silky fur is stained red with blood.
The young man, newly at the Golden Core stage, charges forward with bloodshot eyes and sword in hand. “Who dares hurt my master!”
