Childhood Friends to Reconciliation After a Breakup
Xu Mian leads two lives, just as he has many secrets.
By day, he is an ordinary, mild-mannered researcher.
By night, he is an urban legend, a mysterious superpowered agent who slips through the city.
As a boy, Xu Mian had one friend he considered his only one: Du Jian, from a small mountain village in his faraway hometown.
Back then, he didn't know what a confession was. He only told Du Jian that he had written him into every page of his future: he would take him to the capital to study, live with him, and go on adventures together...
Du Jian was deeply moved, then repaid him by vanishing for eight years.
Eight years later, an accident on his way home from work brought Xu Mian face-to-face with the Special Surveillance Bureau, an organization dedicated to capturing people with supernatural abilities.
More astonishing still, the bureau's leader, a man who commanded all its agents from on high, was none other than the missing person Xu Mian had been searching for all these years: Du Jian.
"Well, well," Xu Mian thought expressionlessly. "I haven't even gone after you, and you're already coming after me."
A few days later, he discovered that he had been put on the Special Surveillance Bureau's wanted list, with his capture priority steadily rising.
Xu Mian: "...Wonderful."
He was going to find out just where Du Jian had picked up all that skill over the years.
