Does Yukimura Get Secret Crushes, Too?

Blurb One:

Generally speaking, Riko is the kind of person who finds it hard to change her habits. For example, whoever she walks to school with should be the same person she walks home with, and if they're holding hands, they should keep holding hands instead of letting go.

But what are you supposed to do when your childhood friend is a boy???

As Riko mulled it over, she suddenly noticed that her childhood friend Seiichi was getting more and more beautiful. She even began to harbor improper thoughts about him. But thanks to her excellent childhood-friend etiquette, she dismissed them after thinking about them for a moment.

But then...

On day one, Yukimura gave her a potted cactus.

On day two, Yukimura invited her to a movie.

On day three, Yukimura insisted on walking her home in a torrential downpour.

Riko: ...Why not bring two umbrellas?

Yukimura: (smiles innocently)

Years later.

The strategist, Yanagi, held up his notes and declared, "From my observations, our captain has a habit of forcing his way into relationships."

Yukimura looked at Riko. "Do I really do that?"

Riko's eyes wandered.

Come on. When you're standing next to me, could anyone else even get a chance?

Blurb Two:

We were supposed to be childhood friends who smoothly stayed together forever. How did this suddenly turn into unrequited love?!

Yukimura was often confused by how things were progressing, but he diligently kept collecting topics he wanted to discuss with her, found the right moment to walk alongside her, pushed away all the other would-be suitors, and naturally kept her by his side.

Hoshino Riko: Why does Yukimura keep ringing?

1. This is a warm-up piece after a long break from writing. Please be gentle if there are any bugs.

2. A sweet little self-indulgence, featuring childhood friends and a secret crush, with maybe a few slightly bittersweet, flirty moments. Overall, it's sweet.

3. Thanks to my bestie Chang Yixiang for giving me the blurb. Everyone, go check out her story, Are There Any Must-See Yukimura Fanarts?
