Synopsis
As the chief architect of the "Lingxi" emotional optimization protocol, Shen Su's life is the most perfect endorsement of the system she created: efficient and smooth, every relationship is accurately matched and quantified, and even every heartbeat is within the expected curve of the protocol. Her world is built on three iron laws: 1. Human emotions are variables that can be predicted, guided and even optimized. 2. "Mental Continuity Authentication" ensures that the personality evolution of each optimized person is safe, continuous and controllable. 3. Fighting against the system means being judged as "non-continuous" and facing "mental silence" - the permanent imprisonment of consciousness. Until she met Gu Ye in the "Original Creation Zone". A "natural man" who refuses any neuroaugmentation, a painter who works with crude physical paint rather than digital streams. His emotions cannot be quantified by the "consonance" agreement, his choices are full of "irrational" accidents, and his existence itself is a glaring mistake in everything she believes in. The more fatal mistake was that she became curious about him. An emotional disturbance that cannot be attributed by algorithms, cannot be measured by "destiny point", and cannot be understood by her "auxiliary star". When Shen Su began to secretly record the chaotic, inefficient but vivid neural signals in her carbon-based brain when she was with Gu Ye, she didn't know that the "abnormal data flow" she had carefully hidden was being watched by many parties at the same time: The oligarch "Spiritual Realm Technology" that she is loyal to and co-exists with civilization needs an out-of-control variable for its secret "sky patching" plan. She faces the ethical coalition that controls the mind's forensics, whose cold prosecutors have marked her as a potential "corruption sample." The stable foundation of the post-scarcity society, which she deviates from and is maintained by the union of reason and sensibility, cannot withstand such a fundamental shake. And Gu Ye, this man who seems to be on the opposite side of the system, seems to hold the key to the truth about "mental silence" that "Lingjing Technology" wants to conceal at all costs. When the final summons from the "Mind Forensic Center" arrives, Shen Su must prove to the absolutely rational system under the watchful eyes of the whole world: her uncalculated emotion towards a "mistake" is not a loophole in the system, but human existence itself, the final, uncompleted algorithm. Purpose: In an era when algorithms are trying to plan everything, we ask whether love and freedom are the redundancy of civilization or the last fire that cannot be optimized for human nature. When technology can define the boundaries of "people", do we dare to embrace those imperfect, inefficient but real connections?
