Strange Tales [Selfcest]

He doesn't plan to take my place. He just wants to have me.

The attic of an old rural house was often filled with the gnawing sounds of mice chewing wood, along with shadows crouched by the window in the dead of night and tales from the village entrance about a reclusive madman with a dog's head.

These stories were half true and half false, but they had taken root years ago in Su Huai's paranoid mind.

One day, he got separated from his family in the deep mountains and fell into a pitch-black hollow. In the darkness, someone reached out and touched his face.

Su Huai opened his trembling eyes and saw his own face reflected in the other's pupils.

"A-Huai."

The other man chuckled, his voice low as his fingertips brushed over Su Huai's lips, the bridge of his nose, and the corners of his eyes...

"You've finally come."

Su Huai thought the other man was going to replace him and leave him to sleep forever in the darkness.

But Huai Yu merely lowered his head and kissed him hard.

"I won't replace you."

Huai Yu pressed his forehead against Su Huai's, their breaths mingling.

"I was born to possess you. To keep you company, serve you, and make you mine."

"And likewise, you belong to me. You must satisfy my love, my desire, my obsession. You are my... only one."

[The Dark Forest]

Su Huai fell into a deep pit. He said nothing, but heard his own voice.

The voice tempted him onward, leading him into a crystal mine and past human bodies embedded deep in the rock walls... until he reached the place where the heart lay.

A human chest was torn open, and a demon crawled out. He and Su Huai stared at each other, as if looking into a mirror.

"A-Huai, we were born as one. We belong together, our flesh and blood intertwined."

In a cave, Su Huai found broken tiles and pieces of pottery left behind from the war years, as well as... human remains.

The stalactites in the cave trapped him in a mysterious space where he kept ending up back where he started.

A naturally formed stone statue of Guanyin gazed at him with a smile, wanting to keep him there forever.

"Don't touch him with your filthy hands!"

Ahead of him appeared a white skeleton. Huai Yu had cut apart his own body piece by piece to force his way through the false goddess Guanyin's spatial barrier and enter the place, all to protect Su Huai.
