Four civilians vanish for no apparent reason. Security footage shows each of them disappearing at the entrance to an alley. The investigation finds that none of the missing people had arranged to meet anyone, yet on the same day, four complete strangers all entered the surveillance area and were never heard from again.
The four include an elderly person, a female student who has just turned eighteen, an office worker, and an unemployed drifter.
Their only common trait is that they are all somewhat superstitious.
