An Ding has a group chat for gaming buddies. Besides her, there are three online friends from completely different worlds, known as A, B, and C.
A seems like an ordinary college student who loves to complain, but she is actually the only daughter of a chief scientist. Her genes are the key to activating a biochemical weapon, making her the target of several factions. If she isn't treated like a mascot, she's kept as a prisoner. She's the star of "The Princess of a Fallen Kingdom's Revenge."
B is a ruthless, taciturn gaming expert and the captain of a search team bearing the fate of humanity. Her left hand never misses in games, while her right hand lands headshots in real life. She also has to roll her eyes as she saves her idiot boss's son, who wants to get all tangled up with zombies. She's the star of "Apocalypse Romance: First I'll Rip Out Your Heart, Then Your Lungs."
C is an adorable little girl with a tinkling laugh. She's so sweet when she apologizes for a misplay, but she's actually the ultimate killer raised through ruthless competition at a certain base. She's accustomed to being ruthless and merciless. She smiles sweetly while her enemies weep. She's the star of "This Killer Has Lost It."
Only An Ding is an ordinary person with a regular office job and a steady paycheck. She quietly puts up with her online friends' frequent "bad signal" and "bad kidneys" while controlling the character Gardener and dropping flowerpots onto zombie heads.
Ah, we're about to lose again.
Her expressionless support play has reached the level of a brutal tank.
"Quiet," she says.
The clanging of metal behind her finally stops. A black wing reaches out of thin air, its tip poking at the back of An Ding's chair.
"Warden, got anything to eat?" asks a voice with a smile.
P.S. The game only takes up a small part of the story. This isn't a gaming novel, hehe.
Theme: We all have a bright future.
