My Husband Became Someone Else

An Jiayue has recently noticed that her husband seems to have become a different person.

During the day, he's so busy he doesn't even have time to reply to her WeChat messages. But at six in the evening, he comes home right on time, eats dinner, washes the dishes, and shares her bed.

By day, he's as politely distant with her as ever. At night, he's passionately attentive.

Men really are two different people in and out of bed, An Jiayue thinks.

One day, half-asleep, An Jiayue catches sight of a huge, grotesque shadow on the wall kissing the back of her neck. Terrified, she covers her mouth as tears pour down her face, but she never finds the courage to tell the monster to stop.

The next morning, everything in the room is as it was. Her body is clean and refreshed, without a hint of discomfort. An Jiayue dismisses it as a nightmare.

But the more she thinks about it, the more frightened she becomes, and she still doesn't dare ask for a divorce.

Meanwhile, her husband brings a good friend home for a visit.

Only then does An Jiayue realize this man is her ex-boyfriend, who went missing six years ago. He's still as gentle and courteous as ever, with impeccable manners. But when she's washing fruit in the kitchen, he suddenly wraps his arms around her from behind, bites her earlobe, and demands in a chilling voice, "Jiayue, why did you leave me? And why did you have a child with another man?"
