Du Lin, an upright leader of a provincial Party committee inspection team, has long devoted his life to his work and is stubborn by nature. He leads his team to inspect a provincial government department, focusing on the corruption of Jin Jinru, a female official recruited and selected through the government's double recommendation and double examination process. The investigation reveals that Jin Jinru, who controls administrative approvals, could not resist the lure of material gain. Led by her subordinate Cheng Wei, the two colluded to amass money, goods, and other benefits. They turned on each other when they could not agree on how to divide the spoils, and Cheng Wei secretly reported her. After the inspection team began investigating, Jin Jinru tried every means to obstruct them. With nowhere left to turn, she sought revenge on Du Lin by viciously attacking his daughter, Du Xiaorong, in an attempt to divert his attention. But the fight against corruption continues.
