Immortal and ageless, blessed with enchanting beauty, and able to transmigrate, An has arrived in a city called Karakura Town.
She’s lucky enough to land at a clinic. The male owner has just lost his wife that very day, yet still takes her in. Naturally, An repays him by taking on the responsibility of caring for his three children.
An: One boy and two girls, all good kids. It’ll be even better if their feelings don’t turn into something else when they grow up.
Ever since arriving in this world, An has felt a constant heaviness in her shoulders. The clinic owner tries treating her, but the problem keeps coming back, so she has no choice but to visit a big hospital. The director personally sees her. The treatment is so-so, but the service is great. Later, one of the clinic owner’s friends gives An a massage device, and she feels much better, so she stops going to the hospital so often.
An: Dr. Ishida, I never asked you to make house calls.
The clinic is open for business. Although the owner keeps saying An doesn’t need to help, she lends a hand when things get too busy. Strange customers are inevitable, too.
An: Mr. Shunsui, Mr. Ukitake is getting all up in my space again. Do something about it.
To make up for it, Mr. Shunsui is always turning up in An’s life to take her out for meals. It’s only natural that they end up together after a while. But what troubles An is that Mr. Shunsui keeps disappearing every so often, and she can’t reach him at all. So love and protection can just disappear, huh?
An: You’re a good person. (Hands him a nice-guy card.)
The longer An lives here, the more she feels that something about this world is off. The little boy at home keeps saying he sees “spirits,” and An figures he probably really does. She often experiences sleep paralysis, and when she’s half-asleep, she sometimes sees a pink-haired little girl in her bed and a big guy beside it.
An: If you weren’t so cute, big guy, I’d say you look like a person, too.
An doesn’t much like going out, but she has to pick up and drop off the kids. There are way too many people hitting on her, and she’s tired of dealing with it.
An: Hello, Mr. Aizen, Mr. Hirako, Mr. Kurotsuchi, Mr. Urahara... I don’t have time for tea. Maybe another time.
At last, An manages to raise the kids. During adolescence, one of them gets especially close to a female classmate, but the girl has the same problem as Mr. Ukitake.
An: Kuchiki, you’re standing too close.
An thought things would go on like this forever. The people she met all had their quirks, but overall, life was getting better. Who could have guessed that she’d suddenly end up in a place with nothing but night, moonlight, a white desert, and white buildings? She’d thought the ghostly shadows were just her imagination, but something really was disturbing her sleep. At three or four in the morning, she kept hearing people talking, lots of them. Finally, one day, An is so exhausted she feels like she’s about to die in her sleep. She sees a room full of people in white, including someone she knows.
An: Mr. Aizen, can you just tell me what you want? Are you some kind of sleep-deprivation demon?
It’s great having kids you raised yourself. They know how to find you, though their appearance is a little...
An: I haven’t seen my kids in a while, and now they’ve become Arrancar.
Blurb still in progress...
